
Cooper Smith
Cooper is an experienced public relations and marketing professional with years of experience in
both the non-profit and corporate business sectors. He's
worked for a variety of high-profile organizations, including
Southwest Airlines, United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, American
Cancer Society and DDB Worldwide Advertising. He also has
agency experience with Cooksey Communications and Meltzer &
Martin (now part of Fleishman Hillard).
Cooper is a proud alumnus of Southern Methodist University, where
he earned an undergraduate degree in public relations and corporate
communications. His unquenchable curiosity about the world
around him led Cooper to also study German, Spanish and anthropology
while at SMU.
In April
2005, Cooper was honored by SMU's Division of Corporate
Communications & Public Affairs as the year's "Rising Star," an
award for young alumni of the university (less than 10 years out of
college).
An active member in the community, Cooper works with a number
volunteer service groups, including the American Cancer Society and
the SMU Alumni Association. He lectures at SMU on public
relations and has been quoted in PRWeek magazine.
Additionally, Cooper sits on the
advisory board to the public relations program at SMU and is a leader within the
Dallas chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.
Claire Bloxom
As senior account
executive at Cooper Smith Agency, Claire Bloxom helps manage media
relations, event coordination, employee communications and
day-to-day project management for our agency’s growing client
roster. Her experience ranges from the big business of
construction, real estate development and energy to start-up web
endeavors and luxury consumer products.
Prior to
joining Cooper Smith Agency, Claire served as Public Relations
Manager at Natura Bissé, a luxury skincare firm based in Barcelona,
where she was responsible for the company’s US-based PR/marketing
activities and communication with retail and spa distributors. Her
experience also includes Dallas-based Sunwest Communications, where
she was a core member of the agency’s real estate team, providing
ongoing account management, media relations, crisis management and
editorial services. She has also worked as PR assistant at
IceRocket.com, a Mark Cuban-owned Internet search engine
specializing in blogs.
Claire
graduated from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, with a
B.A. in Public Relations. While in college, she interned with Los
Angeles-based Amy Levy Public Relations.
Dianna Watson
Dianna Watson, joined Cooper Smith
Agency in August 2007 and has experience in public relations,
special events and community relations for a broad range of
industries including restaurant and hospitality,
business-to-business, consumer products and not-for-profit. At
Cooper Smith Agency, she is responsible for day-to-day PR
activities for several clients and overseeing development and
execution of publicity campaigns.
Dianna has
valuable public relations experience serving as an account
executive for BizCom Associates, where she represented various
clients including Bennigan’s Grill & Tavern, 29 Degree Tavern,
Montgomery Farm and Vent-A-Hood. Known for her media relations
prowess, Dianna has been instrumental in garnering coverage in
various publications including
Chicago Sun-Times,
The Dallas Morning
News, Dallas Business
Journal, Fort
Worth Star-Telegram, trade publications and local
television affiliates.
Dianna graduated from Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta,
Georgia, with a B.A. in Mass Media Arts with a concentration in
Public Relations.
Nina Koch
Nina,
who joined Cooper Smith Agency in September 2005 as Graphic
Designer/Account Assistant,
hails from North Carolina, where she earned a degree in Public
Relations from UNC Charlotte. Her experience includes developing
newsletters and business development materials for a Charlotte
investment firm and assisting with product launches and dealer
communications for NASCAR-branded merchandise.
At Cooper Smith Agency, she is
responsible for day-to-day graphic design needs for all of our
clients, including newsletters, print/web ads, invitations, annual
reports, business cards, retail signage and much more. In
2006, CSA was honored with a platinum and a gold award from MarCom
Creative Awards for two separate projects - both of which Nina
designed.
Outside of the office, Nina is an
accomplished cyclist. She’s nationally ranked in mountain bike
racing and is currently testing her limits in road
riding through long-distance charity events. She also enjoys
photography and won third place for a black/white photo at the 2007
Texas State Fair.
