UPTOWN PLAYERS PRESENTS FACTS OF
LIFE: THE LOST EPISODE
DALLAS
–
May 20, 2008 - Uptown Players continues its 2008 season with a
special limited run production, The Facts of Life: The Lost
Episode. After sold out runs in New York City and Provincetown,
NY the show makes its Texas premiere held June 13 - 29, 2008, at the
Rose Room Theatre at the S4 nightclub.
Written by Jamie
Morris, The Facts of Life: The Lost Episode is a parody of
the popular 1980s television series with an all-male cast as the
girls from Eastland College. In this fictional episode,
Eastland is short on
funds and looking to axe Mrs. Garrett (Paul J. Williams). Natalie
(Chris Robinson), Tootie (Cameron Leighton Kirkpatrick), Jo (Kevin
Moore) and Blair (Chad Peterson) will do anything to raise enough
money to keep her on staff. Anything!
As the sitcom's popular theme song
proclaimed, "You take the good, you take the bad..." these girls
take it all.
Woven in are some amusingly funny songs
inspired from of our favorite musicals.
This production is under the direction
of Andi Allen, with choreography by Linda Leonard and music
direction by Kevin Gunter.
The
production runs June 13 through June 29, 2008, with shows at 8 p.m.
Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and at 7 p.m. on Sundays. All shows
take place at the Rose Room Theatre at the S4 nightclub, located at
3911 Cedar Springs Rd, Dallas, Texas 75219. Tickets are $22-25 and
can be purchased online at
www.uptownplayers.org or by
phone at (214) 219-2718.
**Note: The Facts
of Life: The Lost Episode does not incorporate actual episodes. This
is a new parody inspired by the beloved sitcom.
No one under 21 will be permitted into this performance.
