TO GREAT WOLF LODGE IN GRAPEVINE TOPPED OUT
WHAT:
Turner Construction Company hosted a “Topping
Out” ceremony for the expansion of Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine,
Texas. Local city officials from Grapevine, Fort Worth and Dallas
took part in the event, as well as representatives from Great Wolf
Lodge, Turner Construction and several subcontractors. At the
ceremony, those involved with the project signed and raised the
ceremonial last beam into place. A barbecue lunch for hundreds of
the project’s construction workers immediately followed to celebrate
the milestone.

PROJECT DETAILS
After completing the 450,000-square-foot
northwoods-themed Great Wolf Lodge - Grapevine indoor waterpark
resort in December 2007, Turner Construction was tapped again to
build the resort’s expansion, which will include an additional 203
guest suites and nearly quadruple the size of the existing
conference space. Slated for a December 2008 completion, it will be
Great Wolf Resorts, Inc.’s largest resort with 605 suites.
The expanded Great Wolf Lodge –
Grapevine will offer 27,000 square feet of meeting space ideal for
the business and social needs of the community for groups of 10 -
750. The final conference center space will feature a
7,500-square-foot Grand Ballroom, six breakout and meeting rooms,
two board rooms, more than 4,000 square feet of pre-function space,
six outdoor event areas, a dedicated banquet team on-site to cater
to requests, audio and visual systems, and complimentary high-speed
wireless Internet access.
