AWARDED 1st PLACE FOR CONSTRUCTION SAFETY AND EXCELLENCE
AT THE NATIONAL AGC CONVENTION

Company’s Texas division has been recognized by The Associated
General Contractors of America (AGC) as one of the nation’s top
construction safety leaders who consistently exhibits outstanding
safety practices. Turner received First Place in the Building
Division category for general contractors with more than four
million hours worked, and was recognized at AGC’s 89th Annual
National Convention, which was held in March 2008 in Las Vegas.
Turner
competed with construction firms from around the country for the
award, which is given annually to companies who best demonstrate a
cultural commitment to safety. Winners have set up innovative safety
programs and have achieved zero work site fatalities and
multi-catastrophic injuries. Top safety programs also have active
employee participation, safety training, and work site hazard
identification and control.
“Winning
this national award means a great deal to everyone at our Texas

goes beyond the required measurements, with policies such as
six-foot tall protection, eye protection, on-site First Aid
trailers, and full-time, on-site safety officers. Our mantra is,

is a huge honor for all of us at Turner.”
