Daltile LAUNCHES NEW CoLLECTIONS FEATURING CONTEMPORARY STYLING AND POPULAR LINEAR LOOKS
Metro Leather & Vibe series showcase some of today’s hottest design trends

 

Dallas, January 9, 2008 – Daltile, the largest U.S. manufacturer and distributor of ceramic tile and natural stone, has introduced a number of new product collections that feature many of today’s most popular design trends, including a contemporary twist on a worn leather look and a clean, modern pin-point design.

“With contemporary designs, beautiful textures and interesting linear sizes, Metro Leather and Vibe are some of the hottest products that Daltile has ever offered.  Metro Leather pairs the worn leather look with a cool cement-like visual – mixing the iconic bomber jacket with a downtown edge.  Vibe’s pin-point visual is beautiful in its modern simplicity and lends a clean, subtle texture to design projects,” said Matthew Kahny, executive vice president of sales and marketing at Daltile.  “Additionally, each collection works equally well in residential and commercial settings.”

New Product Introductions:

Metro Leather – Rectified, Glazed Porcelain

Metro Leather is a glazed porcelain tile that mixes the look of worn leather with a cement-like visual to create a look that’s both warm and contemporary – weathered bomber jacket meets trendy SoHo loft.  Its subtle movement and rich colors combine to create a one-of-a-kind look that’s perfect for both residential and commercial projects.

Metro Leather is available in five rich colors (Milan Beige, Florence Russet, Hong Kong Brown, Paris Gray and New York Noir) and five modular field tile sizes (20”x 20”, 13”x 13”, 13”x 20”, 6 ½”x 6 ½ and 6 ½”x 20”).  All sizes and colors are rectified, allowing tight grout joints for clean looks, and are available in an unpolished finish.

A contemporary, linear 2 ½”x 13” decorative accent combines two pieces of cut field tile with metallic-glazed and luxurious crocodile-look pieces in color tones that coordinate with the field tile.  A full trim package, including a 3”x 13” bullnose, 6”x 13” cove base and 1”x 6” corner, completes the package.  The decorative accent and all trim pieces are available in each of the series’ five colors.

Metro Leather is suitable for floors, walls, backsplashes and countertops in both residential and commercial settings, as well as exterior floors (excluding pool decks) and walls in freezing and non-freezing climate.

Vibe – ColorBody Porcelain

Vibe is a very modern ColorBody porcelain floor tile that features a textured, “pin-dot” visual with subtle veining for a dramatic, yet sophisticated, look.  Each of the series’ six contemporary colors – Techno Beige, Techno Gray, Techno Green, Techno Bronze, Techno Brown and Techno Black – is available in either an unpolished or light polished finish. Vibe’s four modular sizes (12”x 12”, 18”x 18”, 12”x 24” and 24”x 24”) are rectified, allowing crisp, tight grout joints. 

A 2”x 12” decorative accent that combines the field tile with metallic elements and circular patterns is available in all colors and features a larger, more pronounced “pin-dot” texture than the field tile, creating a highly textured look.  A 3”x 12” bullnose, 6”x 12” cove base and 1”x 6” cove base outcorner complete the collection.

Vibe is suitable for floors, walls, backsplashes and countertops in both residential and commercial settings.  It is suitable for exterior residential floors and walls in freezing and non-freezing climates (unpolished finish only), as well as exterior walls in commercial settings.

Cliff Pointe – ColorBody Porcelain

Designed to capture the essence of the great outdoors with a rustic, textured surface and strong, rich color palette, Cliff Pointe ColorBody porcelain tile is available in two field tile sizes (12” x 12” and 18” x 18”) and seven warm, versatile colors (Beach, Sunrise, Moss, Redwood, Rock, Mountain and Earth).

Cliff Pointe’s complete trim package includes a 3” x 12” bullnose, a 6” x 12” cove base and a 1” x 6” cove base corner.  Additionally, the collection was designed to coordinate well with a number of decorative accents from Daltile’s other product lines.

Ardesia Select – Line Extension: ColorBody Porcelain (Professional Tile Solutions)

Three new colors – Sabbia, Oro and Grigio Blu – have been added to the popular Ardesia Select series, which features the look and clefting of natural slate.  All six new and existing colors are available three field tile sizes (12”x 12”, 18”x 18” and 6”x 6”), as well as a 3”x 12” bullnose.

Ardesia Select is suitable for floors, walls and backsplashes in both residential and commercial settings. It is suitable for exterior residential floors and walls in freezing and non-freezing climates, as well as exterior patios (including pool decks) and walls in commercial settings.

Café Crème Marfil – Natural Stone Line Extension

Daltile has added Café Crème Marfil marble to its collection of natural stones.  This Indonesian marble features a rich, neutral beige color that lends a versatile, elegant look to design projects.

Café Crème Marfil is available in two color options – Select, which features subtle visual movement and light veining, and Classico, which features more veining and variations within each tile. Café Crème Marfil comes in three sizes (12”x 12”, 18”x 18” and 24”x 24”) and either honed or polished finishes.

Additionally, slabs are available in Café Crème Marfil Select in 2 cm and 3 cm thicknesses.

Granite Line Extension – New Colors: Celestial Blue and Cosmos

Two exotic Brazilian granite colors have been added to Daltile’s natural stone slab options: Celestial Blue and Cosmos.  Celestial Blue features wavy lines of blue, brown, gold and beige, similar to patterns and color variations seen within the mysterious Aurora Borealis (also known as Northern Lights).

Just as its name indicates, looking at Cosmos is like looking into deep space at galaxies millions of light years away – with cloud-like groupings of white, blue, green, beige, brown and black.

Both highly-varied granite stone colors are available in a polished finish and in 2 cm and 3 cm thicknesses.
