CELEBRITY CAFÉ &
BAKERY SELLING PINK RIBBON SUGAR COOKIES IN HONOR OF BREAST CANCER
AWARENESS MONTH
Cookies’ proceeds will benefit Dallas-based Bridge Breast Network
DALLAS - October 15, 2007 -
Celebrity Café & Bakery is selling pink ribbon sugar cookies in
honor of October’s National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with all
proceeds benefiting Dallas-based Bridge Breast Network. The pink
ribbon is worn to raise awareness about the devastating number of
women that breast cancer affects and to encourage support toward
finding a cure. The cookies will be available throughout the month
of October at all Celebrity Café & Bakery locations, and will sell
for $2.99 each.
In addition, Celebrity donated $7,200 to the Bridge Breast Network
to further promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The Bridge Breast Network
saves lives by linking low income, uninsured individuals to
diagnostic and treatment services for breast cancer.
“Breast Cancer Awareness Month is very important to us,” said Mark
Menking, president of Celebrity Café & Bakery. “Barbara Harris, the
founder of Celebrity Café & Bakery, is currently undergoing
treatment for breast cancer and these donations to the Bridge Breast
Network are a tribute to Barbara and the impact she has made in our
community.”
Celebrity Café & Bakery currently has nine locations in the
Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, including Addison, Arlington,
Colleyville, Flower Mound, Frisco, Highland Park Village, Las
Colinas, North Dallas and Plano. Celebrity’s 10th location
is opening in December in Rockwall. Each location is open from 8
a.m. - 7 p.m. Monday-Saturday; store hours on Sunday vary.
