T-Hee Greetings & Gifts opens third Dallas location

Founded during the recession, locally-owned and operated gift shop opens at Preston Center

Dallas, November 9, 2012 – When Tony Doles and David Farris opened their gift shop, T-Hee Greetings & Gifts, in Lake Highlands in 2008, they didn’t expect the economy to tank just weeks later…nor did they expect that their business to thrive in the recession. Four years later and with a second location in Lakewood behind them, they have now opened a third location – this one on Luther Lane in Preston Center.

“Despite the bad economy — and the fact that gifts and stationery are usually among the first things to go when purse strings get tightened — we developed a strong following that allowed our business to flourish,” said Doles. “We take great pride in being champions of the “Shop Local” movement, both in supporting our local community and showcasing products from local designers. I think that’s played a big role in our ability to grow in bad times.”

T-Hee stores feature a curated selection of unique and whimsical gifts, greeting cards, seasonal decor, home accessories, books, college-branded items and more. They also offer personalized stationery and invitations for weddings, birthdays, baby showers and other celebrations.

The first location opened in 2008 in Lake Highlands, on Audelia at Walnut Hill. In 2010, a second T-Hee location opened in Lakewood at Mockingbird and Abrams.
