Public relations firm Cooper Smith Agency launches flat-rate & performance-based PR services

Basic flat-rate PR plan starts at less than $1,000 per month; Performance-based options allow clients to only pay when media coverage secured

May 10, 2010 - Companies that either don’t need or can’t afford a full-service PR firm, but still want to engage outside help with media relations and publicity, have two new options, thanks to the flat-rate and performance-based PR services now offered by public relations firm Cooper Smith Agency.

With the new flat-rate PR service, companies can leverage the connections and experience of a full-service PR firm, but at a fraction of the cost, to secure national, regional and local media coverage for their projects and expertise. Flat-rate service options start at less than $1,000 per month.

Cooper Smith Agency’s new performance-based model, called “Performance Publicity,” allows clients to engage the PR firm with no up-front financial risk. The firm is only paid when it secures media coverage for its clients.

“Many companies understand the importance of good publicity, but they simply don’t need the complete spectrum of services that comes with most full-service agencies – or they don’t have the financial resources to commit to a full-service PR agency,” said Cooper Smith, agency principal.

“As many companies have cut their public relations and marketing budgets due to economic constraints, tremendous opportunities are created for those who continue to press forward with consistent and continuous PR efforts,” added Smith. “The media is particularly receptive to good news right now, and regardless of the economy, they still have pages to fill with project profiles, expert articles, trend stories and other editorial content.”

About the Flat-Rate Service:

From keeping clients’ media contacts up-to-date and alerting clients about upcoming awards and editorial opportunities to writing press releases and setting up media interviews, Cooper Smith Agency’s flat-rate PR option allows its clients to choose the level of service they need, whether that’s based on current in-house capabilities that they simply want to supplement or limited/reduced PR and marketing budgets.

About Performance Publicity:

Performance Publicity allows companies to tie compensation directly to the media relations success of its PR firm, using a standardized rate sheet to dictate costs, based on type of coverage, media outlet, circulation and audience.
